What is an ex-reefer container?
A "reefer" is a refrigerated shipping container. Its insulated, sealed body makes it ideal for storage: it keeps out water, wind and dust and limits heat build-up.
How does the first-month-free offer work?
Store in any of our containers for three months or more and your first month is free. For an insulated 12 m container at the normal rate of R3 000 per month, you pay R6 000 for three months instead of R9 000.
What is the minimum storage period?
We're flexible: yard space and parking are available daily or monthly, on a month-to-month agreement. The first-month-free offer requires a minimum of three months.
Can I store my boat or caravan?
Yes. We offer outdoor bays for boats, caravans, trailers and cars on our guarded yard.
How is the facility secured?
The yard has 24-hour on-site security, guard dogs and armed response. Containers are locked by you.
How can I pay? Is there a deposit?
By EFT or cash. No deposit is payable.
How do I cancel?
You sign a month-to-month service agreement. Simply give us 14 days' written notice before the end of the month.
When can I access my goods?
Monday to Saturday, 07:00 to 17:00. We're closed on Sundays and public holidays.
Do you do earthmoving or plant hire?
No. Summit Storage is a storage facility only. We don't offer earthmoving or plant hire.
